Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective June 2026. How payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled.
Scope
This policy covers payments made to Apice LLC for design, engineering, permitting, due-diligence, and analysis services. Browsing this website and submitting an inquiry are free; no payment is ever collected through this website.
Engagements and retainers
Professional services are performed under a written engagement letter. Retainers and deposits are applied against work as it is performed. The engagement letter controls if its terms differ from this page.
Cancellation by the client
You may cancel an engagement by written notice to info@byapice.com. Work stops when notice is received. Fees for work already performed, third-party costs already incurred (application fees, prints, agency charges), and non-recoverable commitments are earned and are not refunded. Any unearned portion of a retainer is refunded within 30 days of cancellation.
Cancellation by Apice
If we cancel an engagement for reasons other than client default, unearned amounts are refunded in full within 30 days.
Government and third-party fees
Permit fees, agency review fees, and similar third-party charges are collected by the respective authority and follow that authority's refund rules. We cannot refund amounts paid to others.
How to request a refund
Email info@byapice.com with your name, the project, the payment date and amount, and the reason. We respond within 10 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Disputes
Contact us before initiating a chargeback — most issues are resolved directly. Disputes are governed by Florida law and the venue stated in your engagement letter.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published here applies to payments made after its effective date.
